-did anybody heard enything about some improvements in this field?
other problem....would there be anybody, to rescript firmware, so it would be possible to zoom in and out in motion image (video) mode? ....-i could use that posibility....

I would love to be able to zoom during movies too if it's possible with a firmware upgrade.

I wouldn't count on any firmware updates any time soon. I think the reason they disabled the zoom feature in movie mode is that they don't want the microphone picking up the sound of the lens zooming. The Canon S1 IS is the only long zoom I'm know of that lets you zoom during video operations. There may be others, but I'm not aware of them.
