I've tested OIS for my FZ3, here the supprised result !
For OIS 1:

For OIS 2:

And Non OIS:

Photos 're taked in room , slow speed, in low light.
OIS 1 is the best.
This's supprising because all say the OIS 2 is better. Anyone has the same idea as me ?

I'm not an expert on the Panasonic implementation of OIS (or any other manufacturer for that matter :o ) but I don't think the image remains "stabilized" for the duration of the shutter. So even with the OIS (mode 1 or 2) operational, if you have a relatively long shutter you'll still get blurry shots if the camera moves. Also, the OIS doesn't compensate for "gross" camera movements that are more likely to show up with longer exposures/ slower shutter speeds. For this reason, tripods are the best OIS there is. :)
