FZ3 vs FZ15

Hi.

I am considering a few different cameras. I was wondering what you all thought of the 2 cameras mentioned?

Is there enough difference from the FZ3 to the FZ15 to warrant paying more for the 15? I know its 4mp rather than 3 but thats the only thing I can see that is different.

Would they perform about equal?

Any info is appreciated.

Flint, MichiganMaybe you didn't notice the FZ15's manual focus feature? The FZ3 lacks that, and also has a smaller LCD display (1.5") than that of the FZ15 (2"). The FZ15 is obviously larger than the FZ3, but for some, that's a benefit, for others, a detriment. Some folks are put off by the fact that the FZ3 only comes in silver, whereas you can get either a silver or black FZ15. If it's at all possible, try to put your hands on both cameras before deciding which one to get, or buy from an on-line vendor with a free return policy, just in case.

Another significant difference between the two is that the FZ3 takes videos with sound, while the FZ15 does not. This may or may not be important to you. I bought the FZ3 because of its smaller size. The sound with videos doesn't make any difference to me. I have had the camera three months now and still have not taken a video with it. However, to some people, having the capability to take movies with audio may be an important consideration. I think you will be pleased with either camera.
