Look what followed me home yesterday from Ritz Camera ...

(Not a great picture; I didn't read the book yet. I think I accidentally manually focused on it before I figured out what it was.)

I am impressed with the vibrant colors (OK, so I boosted them in the camera, but still). The white balance is perfect. I have so many problems in my sewing room. I played with it in the house, and I am pretty satisfied.

(Yeah, boring shot of my sewing room. But the colors pop and the wb is perfect.)

Those Canon A series cameras seem to be great cameras. I may be teaching a very entry level photography class and I was talking to some students about buying from this line of cameras in particular. It will be a nice addition to your collection, have fun.

Mugsisme, nice pics even without reading the manual! i bought an A720 but returned it as it was faulty. i am curious on how the packaging should look like. the A720 was in the amber box which is very similar to yours in the photo, but the box was not sealed. . i am just curious as to if your cam's packaging box came sealed, e.g. shrink wrapped or tape-sealed? mine was not and can be opened straight away...
was your cam sealed in any way as well?

Cheers

Roo.

Mine was not sealed. I got it from Ritz camera, and it was the only one they had, a floor model. I asked if I get a discount for taking the floor model, and they said no. The only thing I can't get used to again is the shutter lag.

Where did you get yours from?
