Newbie questions

Hi. I am somewhat new to digital cameras. I have a older Nikon 775. Its nice but very slow and limited.

I am considering the following cameras: Konica Minolta Z3, Panasonic FZ3 and the Canon IS SI.

The things I like or want the most are alot of zoom, speed between shots, and if possible I would like to be able to take black and white shots.

I am not sure if this is asking to much.

I have only seen one ( a kodak) that appeared to take B&W.

I am looking for any and all info on these. I am leaning towards the Z3, from Minolta.

Also can anyone recommend where to buy memory. I think I would like some higher speed memory if possible. But I also want a name I know, not just some store brand.

Of the digital cameras you have listed, the Panasonic FZ-3 is probably your best choice. All digital cameras are capable of taking black and white digital photos. You can also change any color digital photo to a black and white digital phone with one click in most software programs.
