Has anyone tried one of these?

Or, what do you use on your FZ3's LCD?

I also use a Hoodman product. Not the hard screen but the LCD protector film that they call Hoodskins. The HSK3 fits the FZ20 perfectly.

60mm.....I didn't see any FZ's listed in their compatability chart other than the FZ10. What camera do you have and which hood did you order?

to the users of hoodskin:

does the plastic decrease visibility of the lcd? if so, by how much? secondly, how often must one replace these skins? and finally, is it only available online (i am from canada)? thanks!

I'm not sure about this but I get the impression the Panasonic LCD screens are pretty robust as is and additional protection (under normal use anyway) may not be necessary. I have had a little DMC-LC20 for a couple of years and never managed to scratch the LCD. That camera - like my FZ-20 - and I assume the FZ-3 - has a pretty thick layer covering the LCD that almost seems like (plexi) glass. The owner's manual at least doesn't suggest additional protection is necessary (unlike my Toshiba PDA for instance.) My $.02
