Hi could anyone tell me if the third party lenses ie, opteka etc have 58mm lenses with front thread, as I would like to get a 2 or 3x tele photo lense but also attach filters to it. Can you also use a macro lense with the tele photo, in regards to the green, yellow, blue coloured filters what one is the best.?? Sorry i don't have a clue. Cheers for anyhelp anyone can give.

So, my advice is to stick to 1.5x if you care about quality.

If you want front threads, get the Raynox DCR-1540Pro. It's 52mm, not 58mm, so just get yourself a 52mm adapter and leave it attached to the lens. It has similar optical quality to the Canon TC-DC58B. Highly recommended. If you insist on going 2x, then the Raynox DCR 2020PRO is your best choice. It has a 62mm mounting thread, so to use it with your 58mm (or 52mm) adapter, you will need a "step-up" ring.
