Hi I am so frustrated, I own the Optimus 5.0 digital still camera. It worked wonderfully until I was delivering my first child and my husband pushed some buttons and now I can't figure out what he did to screw it up. I don't want to have to buy a new camera but my son is growing by the day. What do I do and where do I go to get answers???:confused:All my pictures come out fuzzy!!!

I'm not familiar with the camera. Does it have a manual or auto focus button? Might be switched off??

I'm guessing that the Optimus 5 — being a very basic camera (and which was marketed by Radio Shack but is now discontinued) — is what's termed a "fixed focus" camera, which means you can't, and don't need to focus. I'm also guessing that it has a fixed focal length lens as a result.

As far as I know then, the only means of changing any/all settings is to use the 'Scene' modes such as portrait, macro, sports, indoor etc. This has the effect of changing apertures, shutter speed and ISO in-camera automatically, without any input from the user.

The other thing is to be extra careful of holding the camera absolutely stationary, as I'm also guessing that it'll only have relatively slow shutter speeds. You could also buy a cheap tripod, but don't spend big bucks because the Optimus isn't worth the expenditure.

Finally, you could look around at some of the cheaper current models — around the $100 price point — as you might be surprised at the additional features and ease of use of the newer cameras when compared to the Optimus.

Cheers :)
