The H3 does not use SD cards, but memory sticks, either duo or the faster pro duo.

The duo is the small version of the full size memory stick.

The memory sticks do not have to be made by Sony, any make will do.

There are cheap adapters that convert microsd cards into duo memory sticks, I use one plus a second adapter to make the "duo" into a full size memory stick for use in my old Sony H1, I would assume this would also work in the H3.

The advantage being I can use the microsd card in my mobile phone and digital radio as an emergency backup if I run out of memory.

A couple of 2gb duo cards will hardly break the bank... they are not that expensive for a one off buy.
