This Black Phoebe was shot with my FZ10 at full zoom, X 2.2X digital zoom, X 1.4X for the Canon TL-55 extender. A total of 1330mm equivalent focal length. Then, I cropped the image to make the bird a little larger, post-processed a little to bring out his feather details some more. By all rights, handheld, I should've been shooting at ~1/1300 of a second, right? Nope. 1/100 was the shutter speed. Where would I be without O.I.S.? (Mode 2) OK, it's a little soft, I'll admit. But still...

Nice shot John. I'm enjoying my new FZ20 too. This morning I shot the quarter moon at full zoom. The craters were vivid! Just amazing.

:) Yes well, we do think alike huh John :D Over 90% of my shots are using the digital zoom. You already know that though, so I won't argue with you at all :)

All the best John and nice DZ shot BTW.

Danny.
