I havent posted here for ages... but I thought I'd drop a link to my gallery of photos from a trip in 2007 to the island of Cyprus.

You got some neat shots there Warin.
Long time no see, Warin.
I like all of the stone work. Too bad ya didn't have a ND filter or Circ Polarizer-those skies sure are bright.

I don't get why photography would be limited beyond a certain point....:confused:

that used to be the buffer zone between the Greek/Cypriot Army and the Turkish Army. The no photography rule would be for security purposes... a "casual snapshot" could easily show UN peacekeeping positions should hostilities resume.

From 1974-2003, there was no way to cross from South to North Cyprus. Since the border was opened in 03, there's been no violence. That's how I got away with shooting inside the buffer zone.

With that story in mind I looked at the pics again and felt so much more drama.
