Hi all,

I've been lurking around here for a few days reviewing posts and trying to make up my mind about new camera purchase...FZ3 or FZ20. I think I've finally decided to go with the FZ3, primarily because of it's size (or lack thereof). The only real reservation I have is the size of the LCD.

I currently have an old Yashica FR SLR that I've had for 27 years so I'm somewhat familier with manual setting etc, although by no means am I an expert. My photography consists primarily of special occasion shots around the house, vacations and hunting and fishing trips.

I haven't decided where to order from yet, but already have a couple questions.

How does the included adapter attach to the camera lens?
Can you attach a UV filter to the included adapter and leave it on the camera lens all the time for lens protection?

Once I make my mind up where to purchase (suggestions welcome) and get the camera I'm sure I'll have more questions. BTW, based on other posts here I've already ordered 2 Kingmax 256MB 60x cards from Newegg.com. I just ordered them last night and they have been shipped via FedEx as of 6:38AM today.

That is EXACTLY the same choice I had to make!

I assume you are on about the Minolta FZ3?...........

I didn't say it was the Pana FZ3 because I assumed since I was in the Pana forum...........but you know what assume does. I should have said it was the Pana FZ20 and FZ3 I was talking about.

The adapter fits over the end of the lens barrel, and then you turn a locking ring to lock it in place. The hood attaches to the adapter via a bayonet-type locking mount.

Yes.

Newegg, and Vann's seem to have good reviews, as does the Circuit City web site.
