i had some noise when im zoomed into the digital...but when i take the pic it looks clean and focused (in most cases). have you looked at any of the actual pics or are you just talking about the screen?

Spike - I think he means audio noise rather than digital noise in the image. ;)

Im reffering to the mechanical noise of the aperature... seems to make an odd noise louder than i would expect out of this model being that my 630 made a softer more expected noise when zooming....

wow...my first post and i really messed that one up. LOL Sorry......
if that's the case, i have no frame of reference as this is my first Canon...but mine doesn't sound too loud...sorry for the misunderstanding...

when i turn the camera on and the aperature extends the mechanical sound is kinda straigned.... i was wondering if anyone with a 750 has the same sound or if its just me being paranoid about the item i just purchased
Hi guys... My SD750 does make a noise when I zoom in/out... It also makes the same noise whenever it has trouble focusing in low light situations.
Off-topic... I really like the SD750, but I'm planning to sell it on eBay since I have shaky hands and therefore I need a digital camera with Image Stabilization to prevent taking blurry pics in low-light situations... I might replace it with the new SD1100 IS or A590 IS when they come out on March.

I consider myself a die hard Thrashers fan...
And I know Philips arena well enough that if you're sitting on the third balcony, good luck getting an acceptably clear picture of anything.
Judging by Thibault in net, you went to Friday's Buffalo game. That was a close call (it went into shootout). Atlanta was doing perfectly fine without Kovalchuk until he came back for the Flyers game and tonight's game against Vancouver. Makes me wonder...
Great pics. Thanks for posting. It's hard to find a hockey fan in America these days...
By the way, a little unrelated, but if you like wallpaper, check out the link in my signature. I have two Thrashers desktop wallpapers I made. Check them out.

yeah, i really think that when we had to grind without Kovy we're a better team...but, i know that both of those games were close and if we can play every period like we played that second period last night...we would be a much better team...it's always great to find another fan too!...espically where i thought none would be...*smiles*...
back to the pictures...i sit in 317 Row D...beind the net...Great seats!...i can see everthing that happens...just a great angle for shots on the net, as i have found out...now all i need is to not watch the game and i would be able to take great pics...LOL
those are some nice looking backgrounds...i REALLY like the aged "Atlanta Thrashers" one...that might just become my new background...

Spike, just to keep it on topic though, are are you experiencing audible noise when you zoom in and out?
edensenterprizes, usually zoom noise, depending on how loud it is, is a small defect. There shouldn't be anything wrong with the zoom or CCD itself, but a loose part or a defective ultrasonic monitor can make the zoom sound "grindy." Some Powershot S5's and some of the new SX100's have had this problem. The zoom will sound like it's clicking. Does this sound accurate?
Unfortunately, this is a common complaint about Canon. My own S3 became a little grindy in it's zooming later on, but it's not bothering me.
Did this problem happen out of the box? If so, send it back for another one. If you bought it online, you should be able to send it back, however the wait is a little inconvenient.

yeah, sorry...*blush*...there is a little bit of noise, but nothing that is aggrivating or unexpected....just a little bit of bzz...that's it...it is mechanical after all...there are moving gears and accuators...so it will always make a little noise...
