The other guy from the Dave Norris night. More country then Dave, not as good vocally but he's a better guitar player. He just got back from a trip to Nashville playing gigs.

I think acoustic performers are the hardest to photograph. They stay in one spot sure but coming up with interesting angles and PP is tricky.

Huh - just occured to me: you don't own a zoom lens. That's what you need here. Something to change up the focal lengths. Also good for close-ups on hands playing guitar, etc. Get a 24-70 F2.8 or 24-105 F4 IS and be happy!

nick, that first shot is fricking awesome man...

i shot with the 24-105 F/4 IS this weekend... i ended up loving it... great lens... i'll post up pics in a bit...

I'll throw a picture up when I get home to show you what the AW was doing with the lights. ;)

Peter! a zoom lens! I don't think there would be enough light for a F4 lens. I could have gotten away with slow SS with this show but most of the time there is too much movement to get away with slower SS.
