xD card from Fuji camera

HELP
I have a new Olympus FE290 and bought a second H xD card on ebay for it. The card doesn't work and I just found out it came from a Fuji camera. The card keeps saying terminals need to be cleaned with a dry cloth. If I try to format it, I get an error message. When I open the card on my computer there are a bunch of folders with ?Chinese? writing that I can't delete because the computer says it can't delete, because it doesn't know source. The previous owner says card worked. Can I do anything or am I out $25?

Seems like you are out of luck. I cannot believe that $25 was a great deal on a used xD card. Not sure where you are located, but it seems I see perfectly good, brand new xD cards for $20-35 every week in the Sunday paper flyers. Personally I cannot wait for Olympus to give up on stupid second tier memory card formats. At least they could argue that the old SmartMedia format was a real standard. xD is only used by Oly, Fuji and one Kodak. Even Fuji now has a combo SD/xD slot.
