lost software

i have changed to a mac and realized my picture perfect is who knows where. i have an old coolpix 4800 w/ 8.3 optical zm. i know it's old but i like it. should i try to find picture perfect or is something better, economiclly and quality. ive noticed that nikon web page only list later versions and wondered if they would even work. what do people think about google picaso?

I use picasa mainly for searching all of my images and keywording since my other software for organizing doesn't allow for full searches, only searches within the current folder you are looking at.
Although editing is somewhat limited I do use it sometimes to edit lots of jpgs quickly (but don't use it for raw files) and I like that it is not destructive to my original files. Best of all it is free and from google, I love google:).
