Hello,

I just started in with a company that uses a lot of photos for its books. I've been given an MX-600 to horse about with and the interface is pre-Y2K. They're telling me one of their tech gurus slipped in a smart card somewhere and was able to speed it up (file retrievals are taking me 25 seconds apiece, which must have been impressive back in 1980), but I'm wondering if there's really anything that can be done with this piece of, uh, legacy hardware. :D

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

It seems you have to get in touch with this high tech guru...
Alternatively, will it be too hard to convinced them to replace this piece of _________ with a modern Fuji FinePix F40fd? It costs less than $200 but however, the upload time will pay off the camera in a few days.
