HELP ME!! Upgrade from an A70 to a SD200

I have an A70 that has a few problems with it, including a shutter cover that won't shut, defective a/v outputs and a screen that never seals no matter how many times it gets cleaned.

Talking to a rep at Future Shop (Best Buy) this will just get repaired and isn't enough to get a replacement. I really want to get the SD200 as a replacement and can upgrade for only $30. What can I do to make sure the camera cannot be repaired so I can upgrade?

You can always take a hammer and hit the camera as hard as you can...

No, seriously, there's nothing you can do... specially not with future shop, its the WORST place to get a waranty, they just CAN'T give any worthy service, if u give them something to repair, u can be sure its lost for at least 2 months and that is if you are lucky enough that they will honor the waranty.
