Canon Digital Rebel XT 8mp vs Olympus 5050

Round two of my research...
I have the Olympus 5050, and yes I'm very happy with the results for my website and 8 x 10's.. I photograph my custom made furniture..

Because a friend is in need of a better camera the bug has bitten me...
We have been looking at the Canon Digital Rebel XTi 8mp.. Nice price

So do you think there would be noticeable difference shooting with this camera..
I guess thats my entire question..

Depth of field with the larger sensor will be more critical. The quality will, of course, be better.
