I was on vacation last year and I started having trouble with my camera-great timing, huh? Anyway, the knob wouldn't turn, like it is hard as a rock, and if I could finally get it to turn it would turn on and then turn right off. I thought maybe if I tried a full battery it would work, but no cigar. Is my camera easily (and not to expensively) to fix? Or is it shot? What are some possibilities of what the problem is? Anyone know?

I know no one has replied yet, but I am very angry at Kodak right now and I hope that someone can help. I am having problems with my camera and it won't turn on. The knob/wheel on my Kodak DX6490 won't turn, so I can't take pictures or even turn it on. I called the Kodak customer number (1-800-235-6325) and I explained what is the problem and they said that I could send it in to be fixed for $150.00 plus $11.00 shipping or give them the camera and 15% off in their store. That is rediculous! I have had this camera for only 2 1/2 years. For what I paid, this should so last longer! Any ideas? Do I have to junk this one or can it be fixed without spending as much for a new one?
