Came across a neat web site w/Flash animation that allows one to view the effects of changing a number of the variables that are at play in taking a digital image...
http://dryreading.com/camera/index.html

One can see how changing the EV compensation; scene lighting circumstances; ISO; aperture; shutter speed etc. interplay in making a digital image and what effects changing one or more will have on the scene.

For those still challenged about understanding the interplay, this is a neat site that may assist in furthering one's understanding...

This is a nifty tool for teaching the interplay of the basic photographic variables. It should be mandatory for 75% of the P&S users and 95% of the DSLR users (just to be sure we don't miss anyone who may need a little clearer understanding)

I still don't get how they can get that dog to mind so well. Same expression all the way through. Amazing.
