Hello guys,
I've had a weekend to go shooting with my S5 IS. I also own an A540, but the IS really allows me to take those shots in low light with a slower shutter speed that I would have never been able to take before thanks to the Image Stabilizer feature! Here's a few samples:

I plan to eventually upload more photos as I go out on my photo-taking adventures. My first impression of the S5 is very good. I just have to work hard to get good, in-focusted pictures in low lighting. Feel free to add pictures to this thread to rival the "S3" thread!

Beautiful. I love the clarity of the S5 and the detail of the blacktop and the shine of the car.
I would use a little bit faster shutter speed on the first two since there's a bit of overexposure on the sky and the back of the car. Excellent camera angle on the first one, though.
I love Knoxville. I visit pretty often. The I-40 shot made me pretty happy. :)

The exif data for the first shot:
Aperture: 7.1
Shutter Speed: 0.3 sec
ISO 80
Exposure 0
The difficulty with taking those shots is that I have to take about 5 shots of the same image (adjusting the settings) before I get one that actually looks good. I have alot to learn about photography and having the camera set up properly.
Thanks for the input.

The low angles look great on the car!
As a matter of interest, on the 1st shot, I'm getting EXIF of
Aperture: F5
Exp: 1/4 sec
ISO: 80
Focal length: 7mm
Which is a bit different to your figures?
Cheers :)

Sorry, I had them backwards. The exif numbers I posted are for the second shot.

Yes, I used a tripod for two of the three I posted above.

I went out today on the highway (very dangerous) to get some pictures off of one of the bridges overlooking the Tennessee River. Then I decided to test a few shots panning a passing car with a slow shutter speed to get that "speed effect". That shot was WAY over-exposed. I lessened the exposure all the the way to -2 (as low as it would go), but I still kept getting over exposed results! The lowest aperture I can use with my camera is F8.
