Can anyone tell me anything about the Jenis Pro battery pack (I would use it with a D80)? From:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160196655810

it seems to offer a lot of functionality in the long-exposure department (along with the slightly superfluous clock LCD screen!):

"
Timer Remote Controller which enables you to:
-to take long time exposures (up to 100 hours )
-to set any delay (in 1 second increments)
-to use the interval timer function to take the exposure every for example 5/10/20/minutes
( you can set any time period up to 100 hours !)
-to lift the mirror (partially) when set on a bulb time
It also has a calendar , a stop-watch and a clock
"

This seems a good price for a lot of functionality.

But as always with third-party electronics, can anyone attest to the reliability, ergonomics etc?

Thanks
-Colin

Answering my own Q:

I have now bought one of these and I think it is awesome. I haven't tried the official grip from Nikon so can't compare. For me the Jenis offers bags of features, and makes the D80 into a definitely bigger and heavier camera, which seems to encourage me to slow down and take more time over taking photos.

The only two negatives:

1) The clock on the Jenis drifts by a minute or two every day or so which is a tad annoying after a week. However this is a minor inconvenience.

2) The front and rear command dials on the Jenis are a little bit stiff. Not toooo stiff, just stiffer than on the D80 so it is a little bit noticeable.
