Hi, Can anyone please clarify if / how the (one button) remote can be used for anything other than using to take snaps. The pdf reference manual states it can operate the zoom but referres to the remote control manual - (nothing in my box) also the online review states that it can also operate a slide show - true??

Any help appreciated, ANewbie....

OK, I may have found the answer to this myself.
RM-1 (£25 optional - i think not) 5 button remote does zoom, slide show...etc
RM-2 (std) 1 button remote - one function only.?

Anyone know different ?

Exactly that :)

RM-2 is standard one button and the RM-1 has the zoom etc.
