going to the big apple for the day with the father figure.
going to b and h and picking up an omnibounce and a 50mm 1.8d
im bringing the camera with so i can take some shots while im there.

and i made the deans list in college this past semester.
'08 is being nothing but good to me thus far.

Congrats on getting the 50. You will enjoy that lens, even with manual focusing.

I like your shot of the NYC street with the kit lens - really like the branches against the sky.

Im probably getting the "nifty fifty" soon as well, im interested in how it works with a D40, how is manual focusing etc? Seems like a great lens and you can get it very cheap these days. Feel free to post more pics :).
Would be a great lens this time of the year with so little light around.

and as for manual focusing its really not half as bad as i thought it wouldbe. instead feeling annoyed so far, i actually like the feel of focusing this lens in my hands.

tree is a little out of focus, and i know its passed christmas but we keep it up til 3 kings day. :)
