Also is Vibration Reduction similiar to Image Stabilization? Please help, because I'm pulling out my hair.

Thanks,

VR is just nikon's version of IS. so yes, it works exactly the same.

the amazon link is with the NON-VR version of the 55-200. the ritz link has the VR version, thats why there is a price difference. definately go with the pack offering the VR lens.

hi there,
definitely VR, i have the same 2 lenses and they are great!
it looks like rits doesnt have it in stock, BH does and you can see it here (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/500315-REG/Nikon_9420_D40_SLR_Digital_Camera.html).

the only thing the BH doesnt have is the nikon bag thing... but they are very reputable and i can speak from experience as i have bought all my digital camera equipment from them over the years :)

good luck mate!

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to getting my first DSLR. Once I get it, I'm sure I'll be back with more questions.

Thanks again!
Greg:)
