I currently own a Canon SD700IS and am interested in upgrading to a better camera. I have decided I would get a Canon SD850IS or the Fuji F50fd.

I've done a lot of research between the Canon SD850IS and the Fuji F50fd, and I find one thing very interesting.

When reading reviews about the Fuji F50fd (PC World, DP Review...), it seems to be remarkable, but when I read reviews from owners, I find that the buyers of the SD850IS are more satisfied with their purchase than those of the F50fd.

Which one would be a better choice overall?

There are significant differences between the two cameras so without knowing what you are looking for it's hard to recommend one over the other.

The SD850 is a pure P&S, no manual controls but excellent image quality and movie mode for the size. The F50 has full manual controls, more MP, and the SuperCCD which should give it great low light performance. In practice it seems like that last item is in question.
