Hello

Recently I was fortunate to take a Disney vacation this month. I don't think I could ever get bored of Disney :) It is always nice to feel like a kid again.

Thanks to Kiwi for telling me to try Lightroom for noise reduction. The D70s didn't do so bad even at ISO 1250.

Finally. I was able to try HDR pics after reading Prospero tutorial. It is fun to do.

Below are some photos and I have uploaded them to flickr.

Any type of Comments and really needed. One can only get better this way.

thanks for looking.

Looks like you had a great trip, Accord! I've never been to Disneyland. My dh keeps wanting to take me there. Maybe one of these times we'll go :)

Your pictures 2-5 look very well-exposed. I love the motion blur you caught in Mickey's hand -- you can tell he's waving, he's not just "frozen."
Were the last 2 your HDRs? I can tell you like that "dreamy, unreal" look. I think it works pretty well in your pics, except that the snow on the mountain turned blue. If you have a PP program that will work with layers, maybe you could put the HDR image in a layer on top of the original, and erase the HDR so the regular snow shows through. Great job though, you've had much more success with those HDRs than I ever have!!

If you have the chance, you won't be disappointed. It is lots of fun.

Yes the last 2 are HDR. Yes I am one of those who likes the dream, unreal look. I know sometimes it goes too far. Thanks for the comment. I didn't even notice until you mentioned it.

Unfortunately, I do not have PS. I used to have a trial but I was kinda lost with it. I will probably purchase elements and start from there. I really need to learn PS.

thanks again. it is appreciated.

I would suggest trying NeatImage for noise removal/reduction. It's free and simply amazing!

Nice pictures!

I was at Epcot & the Magic Kingdom a week ago, in Florida. While I brought my D40 along to other destinations like the Kennedy Space Center & St. Augustine, I made a decision to bring the aging Coolpix point and shoot to Disneyland (thinking the compact size would be less of a pain than my SLR). Big mistake as the camera struggled in low light (and the 5-10 second shot-to-shot lag was horrendous for night shooting).

So I will live vicariously through your shots!
