=============

Are there particular brands you like or hate? I'm leaning towards a Nikon because I really want in-camera cropping, in my research it seems that would be the best choice???

Are there particular models you already have in mind? L15 or maybe S51

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD) - I think image stabilazation would be beneficial.

So, this is my first post, and I'm so glad I found this forum! It's obviously loaded with info. I am looking to purchase a second camera for myself. One that I can keep in my purse. So, I would like something small. I actually purchased the Canon A570 IS, but then decided I would like something smaller, and I also love the in-camera cropping feature. I have a Panasonic FZ20 (I think that's it), and I use that feature all the time. In my millions of hours of research (or so it seems), it looks like the Nikon coolpix would be a best choice??? However, it's hard to see which cameras have this feature. I would love any /all suggesions!! Thank you so much!

The Nikon L15 and S51 have gotten bad reviews.

If you must have a Nikon, the new P50 has received some decent reviews.
