* What budget have you allocated for buying this camera? Please be as specific as possible. up to £200

Size

* What size camera are you looking for? Or does size not matter at all to you? Compact
Features

How many megapixels will suffice for you? 6 at least

* What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify) I'd like a pretty good zoom maybe 6x
* How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10) 10

Do you care for manual controls? not really

General Usage

* What will you generally use the camera for? everyday picture taking, indoors as well as outdoors

* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?no bigger than 10 x 8

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos? yes

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos? maybe

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate? no

Are there particular models you already have in mind? yes: Canon IXUS 75 or 950: Panasonic DMC-TZ3 or FX33EB or Sony DMC-W200

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD) not really maybe wide angle

If you prefer the convenience of AA power, and fitting it into jeans pockets is not paramount then give it no more thought, buy the Canon A720is.

If smaller size is more important than the convenience of AA's then give it no more thought buy the Canon SD850is.
