Review pics on SD1000?

On my old P200 I can review a recent picture by hitting a button and then can go right back to shooting photos.

Is there a button for that on the Canon SD1000 or do I need to slide the switch all of the time?

You have to slide the switch. All of canon's point and shoots (that I've ever used anyway) make you go into a different "function" of the camera. Their SLR's will let you hit the play button and see the pictures you've taken, then you just half press the shutter to go back to normal operation. I don't really know why they choose to do that with their point and shoots.

I understand what you want and the Canon's don't have that button.

But you can accomplish almost the same thing in two ways.

1. Set the review time in the menu to 2 seconds (or up to 10 seconds). Then after you take each picture you will see it briefly.

2. Leave the review off, but if you want to take a look at the picture you just captured, keep holding the shutter button. The image will stay on the LCD until you let go of the shutter button.
