I'm searching for the *overall* "best" compacts:

Here's a few I've been looking at:

Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600
Photosmart R707
Casio Exilim EX-Z55
Canon PowerShot S500 / Digital IXUS 500

There's a few more - but can't think of names...

price isn't an issue...One, that does great with videos, many options, higher than 4.0 Megapixel, SD and/or MMC....

I would love some ideas...thanks.

yea...that's the other camera I couldn't remember the name too....really good. Any good rivals for it? Or would anyone prefer something different. Although, the movie mode is quite impressive....

If size is really a consideration, perhaps the Pentax S5i is worth a look as well. It is a very competent very small digital camera.

There's no review of the Optio S51 here, but technically - which one would be "better" overall?

The optio S51 or Canon SD300 ?
