Canon DateStamp :CameraWindow Uploading Problem ?

CameraWindow 6.4.0.9
Does anyone know why "CameraWindow" uploads from my camera (Ixos 950IS) and the resultant files have a file DateStamp of the day I upload them, rather than the "Shooting Date".

More importantly can it be changed?

I'm trying to order my upload photos to appear as
IMG_xxxx
or possibly
IMG_shootingdate_xxxx
with the file itself having the datestamp of shooting and xxxx as the photonumber

Any one got any thoughts?

I don't know, I just updated CameraWindow and it wouldn't work at all.
It's like it wouldn't recognize my camera anymore (WTF?!). I was going to delete it and re-install the original version (it worked fine), but after I deleted it I couldn't find the CD that came with the camera. :mad:

Now I use PhotoShop to do the transfer. It keeps the IMG_xxxx file names that the camera uses.

There's got to be a way to make it stop changing the file names, but since I deleted it I can't figure out how to do it.

I have found that if the software rotates the image it sometimes updates the timestamp. Does this occur for you with both vertical and horizontally oriented shots?
