I just bought a FZ20. I also have an old SLR camera that has a lot of 55mm accessories (Hoya UV filter, Hoya polarizer, lens hood, lens cap, etc).

I'm thinking about buying the Pemaraal PA55 adapter so that I can use the goodies from my old SLR. Is there any reason I'm not aware of that would make this approach a bad idea?

Thanks, Steve

Not that I am aware of, might consider the Raynox adapter and a step up ring.

i purchased a 55mm paramael adapter for my FZ20, some filters and a 55mm wide angle lens (oly) and it works well. i purchased the 55mm adapter because it kept the cost of additional filters down compared to a 72 or 62mm. Paramael assured me that there would be no distortion problems with a 55mm. i was pleased with their service and advice. go for it! :) :) :)
