I just bought the Nikon d40x with kit lens and bought the 55-200mm VR zoom lens for (189.00-100.00 rebate) together for $ 690.00. This includes shipping, handling, no tax etc!
I am pretty pleased. I did some research here and kept trying to figure out how best to do this and voila! this is what I came up with.
I bought these from Amazon and they are Amazon deals shipped from Amazon etc.
I got an additional battery and the grand total for my foray into DSLR is going to run me $724.00 total. I was soo pleased with the price that I went ahead and did the d40x instead of the d40. Pixels are just soo sexy. I know- I don't need 'em probably but - woo hoo- if I ever do- there they are!
Hope this is appropriate. I had to get almost all the way through the check out before the $100.00 rebate was applied. Tried to do that with B + H and had no luck...maybe it was just me maybe they are not doing the thing- at any rate- I am excited. I hope I hope I hope this was "good".
