I made a lightbox, albeit a ghetto one, but it works. Took about 5 minutes and a couple lights. These are some of my first tries.

I really like the watch pic. I like the way the texture of the poster board is visible (although I don't know if you wanted it to be. But I like it.) Great setup.

That's pretty cool. Could you give us a little more details about your setup?

I used 120w aka 23w compact flourescent bulbs with a 3500K color temp.
Butcher paper from any craftstore.
I shot the light through the paper on the sides to diffuse it and used the paper to make a seamless background.
I preset my WB off the paper and shot at f/16 to keep the entire subject in focus. My shutter speed was around 1"-1.6" at the smaller aperture, and 1/10 or so at f/4.
No flash.
Pics shot with a Nikon D70 with the 18-70mm kit lens.

Wonderful. Thanks man!
What are those Rubbermaid things on the sides and back you used?
clear rectangular containers to sit the lightsource in which minimises light falloff and gives the setup some structure. this is a variaion on the "big box" setup with the sides cut out. have seen many similar setups and they all work very well.
thanks for posting the results. :)
