Greetings,

My first foray onto this site, and being done in some desperation. I have a problem with my newly purchased K10D: It tends to shoot off a few good shots, then starts having hassles with onscreen playback on the later shots. Error message: CANNOT DISPLAY THIS IMAGE.

The troubleshooting section states that this is caused by using an incompatible image format, but I'm shooting in RAWDNG (supported) and am not changing any settings between the shots that do playback and those that don't.

I thought maybe I was exceeding the card's 2gig capacity, but last time I shot only about 58 frames before the problem occurred.

Any hints, suggestions. Is it likely to be a camera fault, card fault, or idiot-user fault??

Thanks in advance.

I would say reformat the card then try again. If you still have problems then change cards. If you still have problems then you'll know that it's the camera. I think it's probably more likely to be the card though.

Hi Lukas and thanks for the suggestions,

Yes, I've already gone there - reformatted the card a few times now. Same thing happens - first load of shots ok, then it starts acting up. Changed to a fresh card too - same brand (SanDisk SD) and memory size (2.0GB). Problem still occurs. I'm hoping the problem is that the card is the wrong type for the camera, rather than the camera being faulty, but if anyone out there has experienced the same problems, let me know!! Was it resolved? And how? Should I be sending camera back to the manufacturer?
