Well now that I have the Canon 40D, I don't have much need for an ultra zoom anymore, so i'm thinking I'm going to try to sell the S5 and all it's gear in the next week or so and maybe put the money toward an F30 or something, and more CF memory for my 40D.

My question is, how much should I ask as a fair price? With it would be all the following gear:

Canon S5 is
Raynox 1540 telephoto
Raynox 250 macro
Hoya Pro 1 Digital Cir. Pol. in 52mm
raynox 52mm adapter
lensmate 52mm adapter
Canon adapter and hood

Ultrapod table top tripod
Sandisk 2gb mem card
3x sandisk 1gb mem. card
cheap 1gb memory card

I have the box and all paper work for the S5, i have the boxes for the raynox lenses and all the gear is in great, like new shape (no scratched lenses or anything) and has been babied in my Canon Gadget bag.

So what do you guys think is fair?

Thanks in advance for any inpit!

My personal feeling is keep the S5IS. I have an XT with a couple lenses and 430EX flash and I got an S5IS after I got the XT. Why?

Sometimes I just want a snapshot camera to carry along and don't want the bother and bulk of the XT. And I am far more likely to just grab the S5 and go than say, "I don't want the hassle and bulk and weight so I won't carry a camera"

And so far, that works out. It means that I generally have a camera with me rather than not. And when I know I am going somewhere I think I may want serious photography, even though it is much larger and heavier, I will grab the XT or the whole kit.

YMMV

^He mentioned getting an F30, which is a compact Fuji, instead. I went that route, gave my dad my S3, and kept my SD550 and XT. A camera as big as the S3, especially with the bayonet mount, can be almost as cumbersome as a full SLR. My ultra compact can go in my pocket without me even noticing it's there, whether I plan on taking pictures or not.

As for the price, that's quite a package of extras. You might be better off selling some of those separate, like the macro and telephoto converters. But generally 20 to 30 percent off the price new, assuming it's in great condition, especially since you still have all the original packaging, would be a starting place.

I have a 30D and an XT. I also have an S1 IS, Nikon 3100 and Nikon 995.

I use the S1 IS because it's very nice to have an all-in-one for holidays and such.

The Nikon 3100 is just a nice shirt-pocket camera.

The 995 doesn't see the light of day very often which is a shame because it's such a nice camera. It's also very good for candids.

Each camera has its place. I would not dispense with zoom compacts just because I have an SLR.
