Hi again everyone:)

After my new found inspiration in flash photography and a willing model this time;) I took this shot of my fianceé.

We went to a wedding this weekend and in between the ceremony and the night party, my partner went to go relax and watch some TV on the bed. So i thought i'd get the flash out and take some shots.

A lot of you have had some helpful advice so far, so let me know what you guys think.

Shot in Manual Camera and Manual Flash bounced off the wall. Pretty much straight out of the camera as i like how it turned out, and I didn't feel too much need to PP it that much.

I think it's a very nice portrait. Good job! :)

Suggestions for next time? The pose is a bit awkward - a little too much elbow/forearm perhaps? And get both her feet in the frame behind her since you left the extra headroom anyway. Also, that lamp in the background would be a nice touch to create layers of interest if it were on. Finally WB is a bit warm for my tastes but by no means objectionable.

From a girls perspective....If I were here I would ask you to touch up the eyes, looks like some mascara has wandered into the corner of her eye:) But I really like the shot other then that.

I pretty much agree with Peter except I wouldn't have included either foot. Of course that's easy to say after the fact. I actually didn't think the pose was awkward until it was mentioned. Now her forearm looks big too me. Anyway, it's a very nice shot.

I love the "natural" lighting

Yeah, I guess either both feet or no feet. But it is still a very nice shot. :)

I agree with Peter on the pose. But I think you nailed the exposure and lighting!

And danidabi's right about the small touch-up.

Oh, and you've got a beautiful fiancee. But you already knew that...:)

I don't know, Drama. Your model has a nice smile, but Shoey's is prettier.

Couldn't agree more. In this case, I think the warm WB works; fits with the mood.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all your kind comments.

I have to admit, I was in such a rush to post the photo on here that i didn't do any PP on it at all:D

So with your comments i've updated the first pic with a slight adjustment to the WB and removed some mascara:D

Also, i've put another pic below it with a slightly different pose.

Thanks again:)

Thanksfor your comments dani, its nice to hear a womans view on the photo, my fianceé doesn't like them as she doesn't like having her photo taken:confused:
