Just picked this little gem up earlier today:)! I'm quite impressed thus far. I'm always a big fan of these slim models. I've previously used Sony products ranging from the T7 to the T50. They performed OK but I was never impressed with the total clarity of the image. The red eye was always a part of every shot. Now the FX33 looks like it is a significant improvement with this regards. I have snapped a few test pics and seen a noticeable improvement over Sony. I'm viewing the pics on the same laptop and taking them under the same lighting conditions and in the same room. I'm wondering if I try to post them here, would the difference be as remarkable? Anyhow, has anyone else picked one of these up? Care to share your experience? Thus far I'm thinking Leica is superior to Carl Zeiss. Could this be the difference? :)
I'll get many more opportunities to test it out over the holidays. Always enough chances to take pics. Looking forward to hearing from your experiences. Cheers.

The iA function is turning out to be a pleasure as well. For a quality quick snapshot kind of guy that I am, this is perfect for me. Quicktime motion pictures are much clearer than mpeg (à la Sony). So far, so good.
Hope to hear from users of this camera as well.:)

I just recieved this little gem in the mail today!
pretty exciting stuff!
I have a Nikon D80, But I wanted something smaller I can always have on my person when im just out and about.
So far so good. I have played with this camera a lot at futureshop.. I do work there. I was just about to buy the camera, but it went discontinued just because of the new FX55 coming out. I found it at a really good price online, So i purchased it. being that I work at futureshop SELLING digital cameras, I've have a chance to play with this little guy quite a bit!

there are some really neat features on it, I like the 'power LCD' mode.. I also like the little feature whre you can set the day you are leaving on vacation, it will actually countdown for you. and tell you during post processing, which day of the vacation you took the picture on. It also has exposure bracketing! which is quite handy!

I've toyed with the burst mode also. Its extremly quick!
I havent had a chance to take it out and take some nice pictures with it. just stuff around the house!
I'll keep you posted!
Cheers!

Just as a warning, I have found on my FX55 these lines above iso 200

And the blue band iso 400 and up, And it's going straight back where it came from.

Be warned
