But how times change! I just came into possession of an old Ensign Selfix 16-20, which from what I can deduce from online is a 1952 camera, that cost £27 and 19 shillings back then. It seems to have a 75mm lens, manual aperture, focus, and shutter speed settings on the lens, and as I found out the hard way, if you don't manually cock the shutter before clicking the shutter release you get a spike inserted into your index finger to remind you of this fact. I've included a few pictures - I just thought it was an interesting find, and thought I'd share it. Not too bad for £3, even if it is just as a keepsake. :) Oh, and sorry for the quality of the photos - they were taken on my desk under a reading lamp.

It is probably worth way more than £3 you paid for it :-)
