Can anyone recommend a case for the xti that will allow me to take it into water? I am not planning to do any type of deep diving, this will be used just to go on camping and hiking trips. I want to be able to use it underwater to take pictures not just protect it from water.
Thanks.

I can't help you with the case... Personally, I wouldn't do it.
I would instead look for a waterproof P&S, like this Olympus (http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1287). Its designed to be used underwater, and will work great there.
I've seen too many stories about those underwater cases leaking and ruining a SLR...

I have no first hand experience, but I know of two brands ewa-marine and Ikelike. Ewa-marine sells expensive plastic bags that you can seal a camera in, but based on the pictures I have seen, it must be a pain to operate the camera. Ikelite cases are what what a proffesional diver would use, they are big bulky, and will cost more than your camera, but they provide easier access to camera controls.
