I have a Kodak DX7440 the latch that holds the battery in is broken. The door that holds the battery and sd card in holds the battery in is fine and hold the battery in place with no apparent problems. I called Kodak to see if it was nessessary to replace this little latch and they said it would cost $105 to fix this little latch plus parts. Has anyone else had this kind of problem? is it nessessary to fix this little latch or will the camera continue to work with out it. I don't want to get in a bind when I need it and then it quit working. alltho the camera is a personal camera and not heavly used. Any comments would be appreicated. and thanks
