Telephoto lens for s700

Curious if anyone has used one yet? I was wanting one mainly for taking pics of wildlife. Will it benefit me any? Will any 46mm work or do I need to look into a specific one?

Ive looked into screw on lenses for my S700. Fuji makes a telephoto and wide angle lens. They are more expensive than the generic name brand lenses. They go for around 60 bucks each while the Fuji was nearly 200 bucks. I know nothing about the quality of the lenses.

That looks like a piece of crap. Most no-name brand add on lenses are useless. Stick with manufacturers lenses or brands of known quality, like Raynox. At $20, you probably still won't get your money's worth.

You sure get a lot of stuff for 90 bucks. Everything you would need to get most pictures. Are you going for it?

David you are probably right. But what exactly looks like crap to you? Was it the color, the shape, the name? You certainly arent going by the results of using them. If I lived near New York City Id be on my way to 42nd St Camera to at least have a look. With a digital you can try them on the spot and judge the results for yourself. Now who is gonna blink first and buy the set and report back?

The price. Good lenses aren't that cheap.

The brand. Opteka isn't known for quality, read reviews online.

The vendors. Let's just say they don't inspire confidence.

I didnt purchase, I was trying to get some input before I got something. I still have not found anything other than what i have already showed on here. All I really want is the telephoto. I checked the fuji site and I could not find any tele lenses.

I live near Toronto Canada. I was shown a brochure by the clerk at Henry's Cameras. In the main store they sell a telephoto lens made by Fuji for their S700. It cost almost $200. I havent had time to go down to the store to have a look, besides its a little too expensive for my taste. Its almost what I paid for the camera itself. So I know that Fuji makes a lens for their S700.
