As far as I know the light leak issue has been fixed and the A650 is being normally sold in the states now, am I wrong?, considering itīs one of the most popular Canon Digicams if not the most popular, why DCresource hasnīt review it? a review isnīt even scheduled for december. Iīm considerint buying one but I wish to have a review to be sure, anyone knows when it will be reviewed?

1. As far as I know, Jeff is only one man.
2. It seems like Canon pops a new one out in the series every few months. Usually each one is pretty similar to the previous. Sometimes cameras that are almost the same don't get multiple reviews.

I wouldnīt say the A650 is almost the same to its predecessor, in fact a camera with IS, 6x and swivel lcd is something not seen since a long time and itīs one of the most important upgrades for the A- line. I think the most popular models should be given priority regarding reviews

He can't review something that Canon doesn't send him. Jeff has to have the camera in his hands first.

I haven't seen an A650 review anywhere yet, which is indeed hard to understand.

I want to see the review of A650 IS too. IMO, it's not just another A series camera, it's something like 2 lines combined into one.
Previously, those with swivel LCD had only 4x zoom and no IS. And those with IS had no swivel LCD.

Most of the review is dedicated to the feel of the camera, the interface, the software and the performance. There's no zoom section or swivel LCD section anyway. It just gets a mention in the feature set.

CNET has a review of the A650 IS, as well as digitalcamerareview.com, and Steve's Digicams.

You are right, Here are there reviews:

Sounds like they all like it but it's bigger and heavier than A630/A640, slower, and high ISO's aren't good.

Nice camera with great features. SHAME about image quality.
You can see lots of noise on outdoors shots; especially on the sky area.
At ISO800 it's rubbish. I can't imagine how 1600 is like.

If ISO 200/400 are acceptable iīm more than satisfied, whoīs expecting good IQ at iso 800 and avobe in these digicams anyway? my A630 has also too much noise even at iso 80/100 in dark areas for my taste but this is something in all of these cameras unless they put some kind of watercolor noise reduction.
Thanks all for the review links, it seems thereīs no bad surprise with this model, itīs very tempting
