Hello
I build modelkits of figures & vehicles in 1/35th (54mm height of figure of a man) scale.
I'm looking for a camera with Macro so as to be able to take close ups at about 75mm ( 3") distance from the figure, further away for the vehicles.
I want to be able to print off pictures only to about 7" x 5" size.
I also would like to be able to post them on a web site so I need to be able to get a fairly high pixel count.
I'm limited to about £150.00 ( $280.00 ).
Any suggestions.

For this kind of money ... sure, wait about 5 years ... and you may be able to get the current SLR cameras "second-hand" ... but that macro lens ... that's a killer. Lens tend to hold their value. The 90mm f/2.8 you are talking about is roughly $400. A 50mm f/2.8 is also up near that price.

If you are seeking a P&S ... perhaps soimeone else has some insight. :o
