I'm having a problem with my Samsung L73. I've only had it for about 3 months, and have put pics onto my laptop several times with no problem. Today, I connected the camera to the computer with the usb, and nothing happened (no msg on camera screen to choose printer or computer). I've plugged and unplugged a hundred times. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem might be? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance!!

There can be so many possibilities of what happen and it can take forever to pinpoint the problem. Fortunately there is a round about way to fixing your problem. Buy an inexpensive thumb size card reader and you don't have to worry about USB cable anymore. Plus there will be no wear and tear to camera socket.
It works like a flash drive.

Thank you so much for your response. I didn't even know there was such a thing! Now I just have to figure out which one will work and which to get. Thanks again!

Samsung cameras use SD card; right? Any SD card reader should work since they work like USB flash drives, unless your computer is badly stuffed up. There are many types of SD card readers and they are the most inexpensive of the lot.

Yes, it uses an SD card. I've done a little looking for a reader that's compatible with Vista. Wouldn't know of one off the top of your head, would you?

Windows Vista? err... I forgot all about Vista. I'm still on XP. Hopefully someone else will point to the right direction.

Thanks in advance!!Sorry....don't really know why yours is doing that. But I like to transfer pics via a card reader. Faster and don't need proprietary software to do so.

On a different note! How do you like your L73 other than this glitch? I have purchased 2 of them in the last few weeks and never got to spend more than a few minutes with either before one of my coworkers wanted to buy them. I am probably going to grab another. They are 99 bucks at JR Musicworld.
