I have a couple questions that I haven't been able to find answers for just searching the internet, hopefully someone here will know.
1. Which digital cameras take the best video? I see that some will record video in HD (1,024 x 768), but it is only at 15 fps, sounds kind of counter productive to me, higher resolution, but lower fps, wouldn't it end up being the same quality?
2. Does the video file format make any difference? Most I've seen either use mpeg or avi file formats, will one have better quality than the other?
3. How much difference does the size of the CCD make? I see most are about 1.8" but some are 2.5", I would assume bigger is better, so why are most smaller?
Any help would be great, there are just too many cameras to choose from! I want to get a new digital camera (point and shoot) that I will be using to record videos. I know a camcorder would be best for video, but I don't want to have to carry two cameras.
