Pentax K100D Super and Lens

Hi,

I have a new K100D Super with the 18-55 Lens. Everything is great, just starting to know the camera but love it so far.

I have a old SMC PENTAX-M ZOOM 1:4.5 80mm~200mm and why i attach it to the camera in AUTO PIC or MANUAL in the Screen on top of the camera Av always flash. I can't take any pictures or do anything.

Is there a option i have to check? Something else?

Because Pentax is suppose to be compatible with all the pentax lens.

In the Custom menu there's a setting to allow the use of an aperture ring. The default is to prohibit it. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but start there.

Thanks, i tried it and it works.i can now take pictures with the lens.
