Well I decided the SD200 over the SD300 since im not going to be printing big ass pictures. I got a scandisk 256mb card as well, fairly pricy but I hope it was a good choice for me (compact camera). Really like the size and button layouts but my battery is still charging so I havent really used it yet!

Any cool tricks/hints for this camera?

just wondering, why do people own SANdisk products or have one in front of them and still call them sCandisk? about 80% of customers do this so I am really wondering. anyways, the SD200 is point and shoot there's not a whole lot of "tricks" that you can do with it. you could try messing with the custom white balance or better yet, go out and take a few night pics using the long shutter option - that's always fun. put it on a tripod or steady surface and try getting some shots of moving car lights at night or something like that to start off with.

Congrats on the purchase. I'd make sure to read the entire owners manual, I found some features in there that I wasn't aware of (I just got an SD300), and I want a chance to play with all the shooting modes.

I know Im sure I can find this in the manual. But for general basically still images (people etc) what should I set my shutter to?

HOW DO I GET TO THE SHUTTER OPTIONS? Also is it best just to leave the Function on "AUTO"?

Thank you!!!
HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Perhaps they're familiar with a program called ScanDisk on the computer?
